1 Cup Dry Steel-Cut Oats
3 Cups Water
3 Tablespoons MiSo Good Soy-Free Miso

Place a large saucepan over medium heat and add the dry steel-cut oats. Toast, gently shaking the pan periodically, for about 5 minutes. The oats should become lightly golden and start smelling nutty.

Add the water and miso, stirring vigorously to combine, and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce the heat to medium-low, keeping the liquid at a gentle simmer.

Cook for 25 - 30 minutes, until the oats are tender, toothsome, and creamy. Serve hot.

Makes 3 - 4 Servings

Notes: For a sweeter hot cereal, add 3 - 4 tablespoons of pure maple syrup.
